Anyway you look at it, any way you say it, the constant marching of time is the only thing you cannot do anything about. Time is your biggest enemy to making lots of money. After all, we could all make a lot of money if we are given 800 years to do it in!
One of the biggest problems with growing a business is finding the time in your already busy day to actually grow it. But be in no doubt that unless you do find the time to focus on growing your business, you will fail. You cannot possibly grow your business if you don’t put the time and effort into growing it. The idea is absurd.
So, what’s the answer?
Find at least 90 minutes every single day or pure, uninterrupted silence to focus on growing your business. Do this from now until evermore to grow your business and the results will be quite staggering.
Get up early, go to bed later, ask your spouse to do the washing up instead of you, whatever it takes, you must find the time to change your life and your business, or nothing will change. Have a good think during today’s 90 minute “power focus time” how you can work it out so you have power focus time, every day, when you won’t be interrupted, when you will have peace and quiet.
Make sure that your focus time coincides with the times of the day when you are at your most alert and awake and the conditions are right. For me, this is right after breakfast when my daughter is at college and my wife is at work and there is total silence. I am wide awake and ready to go!! But ask me to do anything between 2-4 in the afternoon and I am so drowsy!! No matter what you decide will work for you, just get a time that works for you and stick with it! Every. Single. Day!
Nothing will change your life more than finding the time to change your life and just getting on with it.
As soon as I employed this tactic in my business, the results were staggering. I learned this technique in 2007 and I have done at least 90 minutes focus time every single day of every single year, almost without fail (I have missed a total of 6 Power Focus Days in over a decade), including Christmas and holidays (and even on honeymoon!) and the results have been quite incredible.
Your task is to find time every single day to dedicate to your business growth and success. Yes. Every. Single. Day. Book it out in the diary. Make a particular time of the day a “no-go” area for your family to talk to you and disrupt you. No excuses. Tell all your friends and family that is what you will be doing from now on and get them on board with the plan.
